Description
The Euchner CMS-R is a family of non-contact magnetic read heads for the CMS safety switch line, used to monitor guard doors on machinery. Each read head responds only to a specifically coded magnetic actuator to prevent tampering or defeat with a substitute magnet, and pairs with a CMS evaluation unit to set the system’s safety category. Because the switch operates through non-metallic material, actuator and read head can be mounted behind stainless steel, which suits the series to food, beverage and pharmaceutical washdown applications where dirt and cleaning are major factors.
