Functional Testing
Find the Problem Here. Not There.
A defect discovered during functional testing at Tavoron’s facility costs a phone call to resolve. The same defect discovered during installation on your floor costs a field service visit, a production delay, and a deadline. Tavoron’s functional testing service verifies the performance of assembled sub-systems against your documented acceptance criteria before they ship — so your installation team can focus entirely on installation.
Testing Capabilities
Pneumatic System & Panel Testing
Pressure-hold testing at working pressure and 1.5x working pressure, ultrasonic leak detection at all fittings and connections, flow verification at specified operating pressure, and full actuator cycle testing — each output commanded, each mechanical response verified. Every result documented against your acceptance specification.
Electrical Sub-Panel Testing
Point-to-point continuity testing against the as-built wiring list, insulation resistance testing between conductors and to earth, functional power-on test with load simulation for key circuits, and I/O state verification for all digital and analog points. Test record delivered with the panel.
Motion System Verification
For servo drive and motor assemblies: drive parameter verification, motor phasing confirmation, encoder feedback validation, basic jog and move command execution, and fault code clearing. Confirms the drive-motor pairing is configured correctly before the axis is installed in the machine.
Custom Acceptance Test Procedures
For sub-assemblies with unique performance requirements, Tavoron can develop and execute a custom acceptance test procedure written to your specifications — covering any combination of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or functional criteria. Test results are delivered in a format compatible with your incoming inspection and quality management records.
Deliverables blue
- Test report documenting all procedures, acceptance criteria, measured values, and pass/fail results
- Photographic or video documentation of test execution available on request
- Signed test certificate for assemblies requiring traceability records
- Non-conformance documentation and disposition for any assembly that does not pass
Why Test Before Delivery?
- Defects found at Tavoron cost a phone call — defects found on your floor cost a field visit
- Verified assemblies enable faster installation — no incoming inspection step required
- Test documentation provides incoming quality records without additional inspection labor
- Reduces startup risk for time-critical projects where rework delays are not an option
