Tavoron didn’t start in a boardroom. It grew from the production floors, compressor rooms, and engineering offices of manufacturers across North America — from a company called John Henry Foster that understood early on that manufacturers needed more than a parts supplier. They needed a partner. That conviction has driven every acquisition, every expansion, and every capability added to the Tavoron portfolio over the decades. Today, 15 divisions and approximately 400 team members later, the conviction is the same. The scale is different.
From John Henry Foster to Tavoron
Tavoron traces back to 1938, when Mr. John Henry Foster established John Henry Foster Minnesota after years selling pneumatic equipment across the Midwest out of an Airstream trailer. Mr. Foster later opened a separate office in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1983 the Minnesota business was purchased by Ed Mayhew and the St. Louis office was sold to a different owner, and the two have been independent companies ever since. John Henry Foster Minnesota rebranded to JHFOSTER in 2010, and in 2024 JHFOSTER launched Tavoron as the corporate identity uniting all JHFOSTER companies. JHFOSTER operates today as a Tavoron company from its Eagan, Minnesota headquarters. JHFOSTER is not affiliated with John Henry Foster (JHF) of St. Louis.
