Energy Incentive and Compressor Upgrade for CertainTeed
CertainTeed's Shreveport roofing plant relied on aging compressed air equipment that used too much energy and limited performance, while corporate sustainability goals called for lower consumption.
AIM completed a detailed energy assessment and installed variable speed drive compressors with a master controller that matches output to real-time demand and sequences units for efficiency.
AIM worked with Southwestern Electric Power Company from documentation to final approval, securing a $52,074 incentive that offset upfront cost. The plant now has lower utility bills, less maintenance-related downtime and automated, demand-based control.
"Partnering with AIM made the entire process, from assessment to incentive approval, simple and efficient. The new compressors have delivered noticeable energy savings and improved system reliability."M Najam Tariq, Principal Project Engineer, CertainTeed LLC
