Medical Device Manufacturing

Label Compliance Vision Inspection

New FDA rules required medical device labels to carry traceability data and be verified by automated inspection. A customer of more than 40 years tried integrating off-the-shelf parts internally, but tight deadlines and several departments made it hard to finish.

Sensors designed a complete system: a Cognex In-Sight camera, CCS LED ring light, Moritex lens, a custom stainless-steel bracket, and electrical schematics and STEP models for internal teams. The program followed the customer's own template so in-house engineers could maintain it.

The system rejects misprinted labels in real time and has been standardized across more than 50 production lines over six years.

"The level of support and documentation we received made a huge difference."Senior Engineer, global medical device manufacturer

Pet Food Production

Real-Time Can Gap Monitoring

Vibration on a high-volume canning line kept pushing the gap between cans out of spec, and operators had to check it with calipers and adjust by hand crank, inviting downtime and wrong-size runs in a dusty plant.

Sensors installed Banner IO-Link sensors and an IO-Link master with a sealed IP67 Exor HMI, and wrote a program that shows the gap as a gauge: green in spec, red when it drifts.

Manual caliper checks are gone, downtime from improper spacing is down, and the customer has engaged Tavoron on larger equipment upgrades.

"The new gauging system gives us confidence in our changeovers and saves time."Maintenance Manager, pet food manufacturer
