Cartesian System Built on IMI Components
A worn cartesian robot was letting an inspection camera drift out of focus and position at an ammunition plant, and rebuilding the old unit did not fix it.
Engineers designed a heavy-duty cartesian system using IMI components and precision linear guides, reusing the customer's motors and controls and fitting the original frame.
After more than a year in service, inspection is more stable and accurate, and the customer has ordered a second system.
