Description

The AirTAC TCL and TCM Series are JIS-standard, double-acting tri-rod pneumatic cylinders designed as robust position-hold solutions for conveyor and part movement applications. Featuring a compact extruded aluminum body with one central piston rod and two heavy-duty guide rods, these actuators provide exceptional anti-rotation properties and easily support massive lateral loads. They are available with either linear ball bearings (TCL) for high-speed precision or bronze slide bearings (TCM) for maximum radial load capacity.

  • Application-Specific Bearings: Choose the TCL Series (linear steel ball bearings) for high-speed, high-precision movement parallel to the stroke, or the TCM Series (bronze guide bearings) for superior torsional rigidity and double the horizontal impact resistance against radial (side) loads.
  • Compact, Bracketless Mounting: The drive unit and guide units are integrated into a single compact footprint. Multiple machined mounting surfaces eliminate the need for additional brackets, making it ideal for tight machine spaces.
  • Exceptional Durability: Equipped with larger-than-normal steel guide rods, delivering outstanding resistance to bending and twisting moments during part manipulation.
  • Integrated Impact Relief: Features built-in bumpers on both ends to relieve operational impact and extend the cylinder’s service life.
  • Magnetic Standard: Comes standard with a built-in magnet and features dedicated sensor slots integrated directly into the aluminum profile for the flush, secure installation of magnetic induction switches.
  • Cross-Brand Compatibility: Acts as a functional, drop-in replacement for industry standards. The TCM series directly replaces SMC MGPM cylinders, while the TCL series replaces SMC MGPL cylinders.
