Automation Work From the Tavoron Group
B.W. Clark customers have the engineering resources of the Tavoron group behind them.
Pet Food Production
Sensors and an HMI Replace Manual Gap Checks
Vibration on a high-volume canning line kept pushing the gap between cans out of spec, and operators had to measure it with calipers and adjust by hand in a dusty plant.
Tavoron engineers installed IO-Link sensors and an IO-Link master with a sealed IP67 operator terminal, programmed to show the gap as a green or red gauge so operators can adjust before a problem starts.
Manual caliper checks are gone, downtime from improper spacing is down, and the customer is planning larger automation upgrades.
"The new gauging system gives us confidence in our changeovers and saves time."Maintenance Manager, pet food manufacturer
