Description
The Euchner CEM-AR-C40 is a transponder-coded safety switch with guard locking, combining a coded read head, evaluation electronics and a locking solenoid in one housing so no separate evaluation unit is needed. It holds a guard shut with a 600 N locking force until the safety circuit permits release, and reports status over five dedicated outputs so a PLC can distinguish a closed guard from a locked one. Because the switch has no actuator insertion opening, dust and debris cannot collect in it, which suits process and hygienic applications.
