Description
The Banner Engineering R70 (part number 812235, model R70SR9MQ) is a 900 MHz multihop serial data radio that extends an RS-485 network wirelessly across point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, star or tree topologies. Each radio repeats data for the next hop, so a chain of R70 units can carry Modbus RTU traffic well beyond the range of a single radio link without running cable between distant equipment or buildings. It runs on an internal antenna and is built for outdoor-rated, wide-temperature service.
